Snow fun

Before the kids ended up with the flu we did get to enjoy some fun in the snow.

BaBa taking the boys for a ride

Payton and her friend trying to do some sledding.

Payton flying down the hill at the dam.

The carrot that Aunt Mischelle gave us to make a snow man. Penny decided to eat it before we could use it. Thank goodness the snow was not snowman material.

How can you be mad at this face for eating a carrot. Guess she felt the need to be on a diet for that day.

Through the eyes of a child

The kids always get my camera and take pictures. They know that it is to be off limits but they think I don't know until I go to download the pictures. This go around this is what I found. I just think it is funny what they think is important.

This is Parker's Star Wars Lego set he got for Christmas

This looks like a coupon that I got in the mail

Of course their Nerf guns

Penny Princess gets her picture taken a lot

And dad I guess he is pretty important to!
Oh NO!
Well before you read this you must refer to a friend of mines blog. DeAnn Dorn www.lifeisgood4.blogspot.com. She put a tid bit in there about marriage and Maddox and Patton. I read this to Patton and this is what he says.
Patton: I don't want to get married. ( very upset face)
Me: reading what Maddox said to Deann
Patton: Okay muma I WILL marry Maddox, I just love him too.
Me: oh no Patton are you sure you want to marry Maddox?
Patton: he is my best friend and I love him too. I also like Jarrett, Alex, and Will.
Kids aren't they just funny.
While I am typing this I just over heard Patton yelling at Payton and her friend not to eat all the goldfish because he wanted some. Payton was teasing him and he says "thanks a lot you ruined my life." Kids are great!

New Year's Resolution
Well every year I attempt to make some far off resolution. Well this year I don't want to lose 20 lbs , or have a 6 pack for a stomach, or a million dollars, or even some new gadget to brag about so some other person will think I am cool. This year I just don't want to give a crap about what anyone else thinks. I want to grow a back bone and stand up for myself. This is something I know nothing about. I can talk the talk but I just can't seem to walk the walk. Don't you just hate it when someone thinks they are better than you? I want to be able to say to them don't forget to spray the air freshener on your way out! We were all put on this earth as equal, some might have a little bit more, and some might have nothing, but who's to say a person should look down at them. Yea losing 20 lbs is great, okay I don't think I should loose 20 maybe 10. Even having a six pack sounds great, yes I need to exercise and be healthy to but within reason. I am not sure that I want to be a body builder. I just want to be a better person and a better wife and mother. I don't think that I am a bad one, I just think I should try to be a little more attentive. I just want to be happy in my own skin. How many people out there are not happy with themselves. I am sure more than you think. It is easy to make the perception to the outside world that everything is fine and dandy. Perfect doesn't exist and everyone has problems. So why try to hide that? I know I am rambling but I look around and think that this world is full of too many people that walk around thinking that they are big and better than others. I just want to tell them to grow up and get a life! This world would be a better place if everyone treated each other as equals. With that I am going to try my hardest to stick up for myself and say hey I am happy and the four people who I care about the most in my life are just as happy as can be. So go rub your shit in someone else's nose because I just don't care!
So what is your New Year's resolution?

Does the fighting ever STOP???
Well the boys seem to be fighting over something all the time these days! I had warned them I was going to put them in time out and make them hug and kiss each other if they didn't stop fighting. Well I try my hardest to follow through with my threats, as you can see below. I made them sit in time out hugging each other for 5 whole minutes. When the timer went off they had to give each other a kiss on the check. That wasn't to hard for Patton, but Parker thought it was awful. I just want to teach them the importance of having a brother or sister. They are pretty lucky to have each other and I don't want them to miss out on something because they were to busy fighting over a toy or something stupid. They should be each others dearest friends.

I think Patton was enjoying Parker's embarrassment a little to much. Look at that grin!
Morris the cat
Morris has been with us for about four years now. Out of all Patton's animal friend's Morris always takes priority. Well one day while watching a movie Patton fell asleep and I do believe Morris felt like he should take care of his big buddy and help him sleep. Okay, okay Patton had to be holding Morris really tight and he was to scared to run away! Morris is a great cat who takes a beating, chasing, target practice, what have you, and he keeps coming back for more.

Maddox and Patton
While going through my pictures on my camera I found a few I would like to post. This was taken a while back when Maddox came over to play. It was time to pick up the kids from school so the boys were getting their shoes on. I went to help Maddox tie his shoes and big buddy Patton had already done the job. Okay so I put a few double knots in them too but it worked. Maddox, thanks for playing Police saucer, and farm, and fire fighters, and bad guys. Patton is berry glad that he has a bestest friend like you!

Happy 27th birthday Dad, Bobo!
I asked the boys how old they thought Bobo was going to be and Patton said I don't know 27?
We then asked him how old he thought Grandma Poopsie was and he replied very old. Grandma just laughed. What am I going to do with that boy?

My dad with his Christmas present us kids got him.

The grand kids except Payton decorated this cake for him. Patton did the blue, Mitch did the green, and Parker did the red. Mikeala did the writing and rosettes.

The kids and a few adults were seeing how many pillows they could jump over. I happened to remember my camera at the tail end of the fun. One of us adults tripped over our feet and landed face first in the carpet. Wish I had my camera for that one!
P.S. the music I have no idea about it is sang by DJ Bobo so I thought that was the right song for the job!

Christmas 08!
Well I am glad it is all over with. Come Monday it will be back to normal with the kid's back into school. I am looking forward to a decent routine again. I didn't think we had one until the break and decided that our crazy life and schedule was not to bad! I hope everyone had a great holiday season!
our little Penny Princess and Patton's stuffed dogie
I think Payton was a little surprised
We got the boys new sunglasses. They are blue Oakley's with flames on the side. They thought those flames made them really cool!
Patton got dad a new set of pliers at secret Santa.
Patton got a new blue blanket he couldn't get over how soft it was. He has two just like it, but he chews on the silk edging so with this one he says there are no pieces chewed out!
My two boys
Christmas at Mema and Bobo's. Uncle Mikey you look so excited!
My mom always gets some dumb gift this year she didn't do to bad. She did get Matt and Lindsey these matching hats. The sad part is that Matt actually grabbed it by accident and wore it to the bank.
About 23 years ago my dad wright a poem on the stars, I found it and had Mitch Erwin take a picture of the stars and frame it for him. I do believe he liked it!
