Life and Death
Sorry I have not blogged for a while. My internet has been down, but with the help of Paul Tait it is up and running again.
Last Friday Brad's grammie lost her battle and passed away. She went peacefully and is in a better place. Grammie was an excepitonal women, always had a story and enjoyed her life the best way she could. We are all going to miss her!
It always make me put life into perspective when someone passes. I take so much for granted we all do. The important things in life should be your faith, family, loved ones and friends. There are so many times that I think that money and materials are going to make me happy, but keeping up with the Jone's is not why we were put on this earth. God gave his only begotten son so we could have eternal life. John 3:16. Now not to get all churchy on you, but that is true! Each and every one of us are here to do some part in each others lives. We need to live our lives to strive to be a better person every day. What can I do to help some one out today? If we all believed this we would live in a better world. It is hard to let money and materials, and competition get in the way. We are all just human, nobody is perfect. I always tell the kids perfect doesn't exist. Don't take anything or anyone for granted. I know that I wish we would have spent more time with Grammie, but I can not dwell on that, just learn from it. Life is a learning process we all have to learn from our mistakes. Now with that go give your loved ones a big hug and kiss and tell how much they mean to you. Never give up your faith with it all things big and small will be easier to handle!

A trip before school and a sad goodbye.....
Well Brad's grandma is not doing well at all, they did not think that she would make through the weekend. We decided to take the boys over for what we thought would be a last goodbye. They had a few questions, but are still to young to understand illness and death. Please keep Grammie and Brad and his family in your thoughts and prayers. The hospital will only let the kids go on Sunday from2-4 so we decided to go over on Saturday and let the kids do a few things before school starts. Unfortunately Payton went out of town with her dad this same weekend. We Sure did miss you not being part of the family fun sister!
Me and my boys in the hotel before heading to the City Museum
Parker at the fire museum in the St. Louis Mills. He said it was his favorite part of the trip

The boy's at the Spaghetti Factory

Mom and Dad waiting patiently to do mom's favorite thing, EAT!

Parker had the balloon guy make him a bear

And yes you guessed it that is a...... sword!

This was at the Arch and It made me think, does it you....

The City Museum and fun place for kids and a heart attack for mom's. I was constantly worried that I was going to lose the boys! It doesn't help that I am afraid of heights and claustrophobic!

Hold on tight Patton

We went to the Zoo a couple of weeks ago and missed the frogs and the dinosaurs. Parker really enjoyed the frogs!
And Patton enjoyed the life like dinosaurs, but not the 3-d movie. He said he thought t-Rex was going to eat him.

While the guys are away let us play
Brad and my dad and brother-in-law went on a boat trip with a bunch of other guys. My mom Parker and Patton and my nephew Mitch went to Evansville and to the Wendelin picnic. We then went to The Garrett's to swim and eat hot dogs. We had a great weekend!

Patton and Mitch won watermelons on the dime game

The frogs have a new home!
Leapy 1,2,and 3 have made a new home in neighbor Larry's fish pond. I was able to convince the boys that they would be better off there than in a five gallon bucket.

Holiday World
Brad had a company outing at Holiday World a couple of Sunday's ago. The kids had a great time and so did we. Patton said that he did not want to ride any "polar toasters", by the end of the day he was ready to rid those "polar toasters" dad would not let him though. I think out of the three kids we might have one that will ride the big rides with us!
Look mom no hands!
Payton and the chief
Brad and Payton racing. GO Payton GO!
Parker and Patton racing down 1 of the 3 slides Patton could ride.
